The Star Barn Complex. In December, 2007, Agrarian Country purchased the 1872 Star Barn Complex of Middletown, Pennsylvania. This historic treasure is listed as a National Historic Landmark with the National Register of Historic Places. Feasibility studies were conducted about the use of The Star Barn at its present location. Due to its limited acreage, location near Interstate-283, and proximity near a residential community, it was determined that the current site would not be feasible for carrying out planned activities. Therefore, Agrarian Country plans to dismantle the barn and its ancillary buildings and prepare it for its new location near Grantville, Pennsylvania. The schedule for the disassembly and re-raising of The Star Barn and its ancillary buildings at its new home in northern Lebanon County will be announced later.

American Museum of Veterinary Medicine at Agrarian Country. Since its inception in 1990, the American Museum of Veterinary Medicine (AMVM), formerly known as the Eastern Veterinary Historical Society (EVHS), has accumulated an impressive collection of instruments, equipment, medicine, textbooks, and literature from over 150 years of veterinary history. This fascinating collection is of interest not only to veterinarians, students, and others in the medical profession, but to historians, the agricultural community, pet owners, and the general public. On March 2, 2010, the boards of directors of the American Museum of Veterinary Medicine and Agrarian Country announced that the AMVM will close its facilities in Birdsboro and reopen the museum at Agrarian Country in Grantville, Pennsylvania (Lebanon County) to become part of Agrarian Country’s showcase for agriculture at the new Heritage Arts Center (under development).
